Ruff Alias is a digital mixed media illustrator based in Singapore. In his current work, his fascination with rock formations and the movement of water is visibly represented in his abstract works, which combine mark-making and careful but deliberate use of textured colour. Hovering between nature and abstraction, his pieces invoke a sense of serenity and controlled chaos.
Ruff holds a Diploma in Design (Fashion Textiles) from LASALLE College of the Arts, and a BComm in International Business & Management from Murdoch University. He has recently collaborated with social enterprise Books Beyond Borders on a bookmark series to help raise funds for educational causes in Nepal.
